Abhradita Chatterjee Nahvi presented a paper titled “A Study of Workforce Diversity and its Effectiveness on Employees” at the HR Conference in association with National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM, Pune Chapter) organised by the ICFAI. The paper was based on secondary information and had a detailed study of the link between managing diverse employees and its effectiveness within the organisation. The paper was published in The Next Wave of Business Excellence & Role of HR organised by ISB - ISBN NO - 978-81-928887-2-9

Ms. Rekha Kankariya, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA/BBA(CA) attended an Interdisciplinary International Research Conference on “Sustainability: Aspects, Challenges and Prospects in the Global Perspective” organized by Garware College of Commerce in association with SPPU, James Cook University - Singapore and University of Hull, UK on January 17-18, 2019. She presented a paper titled “Sustainable Event Management” which was appreciated for good content and information by the paper evaluators.

Dr. Arwah Madan, Associate Professor, Department of Business Economics was invited as Resource Person at State-level Seminar on ‘Changing Role of Banking Sector in the current Economic Growth and Development of India’ organized by Sinhagad College of Science, Pune on Jan 8-9, 2019; Dr. Madan spoke on the topic ‘Role of RBI in India’s Growth Story.

Department of History

Dr. Sandhya Pandit, Assistant Professor, Department of History was invited as a Speaker for the V. K. Rajwade Memorial Public Lecture at the Bharat Itihaas Samshodhak Mandal on December 31, 2018. This lecture is organised in memory of the late Historian V. K. Rajwade who was instrumental in laying the foundations of the BISM and the study of History. The title of the lecture was 'Pune in Transition: The First British Collector Captain H. D. Robertson (1818-1829)'

Department of English

Ms. Komal Tujare, Assistant Professor, Department of English, attended an International Conference on “Globalization, Literature and Culture” and presented a paper titled “Tracing Gramsci’s Hegemony in a Patriarchal India: A Study of India Media and Advertising” organized by the Higher Education and Research Society, Pune on September 7-8, 2018. She also won the Best Paper Award for the paper.

Department of English

Ms. Komal Tujare, Assistant Professor, Department of English, attended an International Conference on “Romantic E-Scapes. Popular Romance in the Digital Age” and presented a paper titled “Retelling of the Female: Reading Mastani’s Historical Romance” at held at the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain from 9th to 11th of July 2018. She also received a travel grant of Rs.58,000 from the Savitribai Phule Pune University to attend the conference.

Dr. Vaishali Diwakar, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, attended the 36th IVSA Conference organized by International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA) at the University of Evry, Paris, on June 25-28 2018 and presented a paper titled on “Visual analysis of pre-election campaign of 2014 General elections, cleanliness drive and Give-It-Up campaigns and whether it suggests coming up of a New Age”. She receive a grant of $500.
