A Guest Lecture on Awareness Program on Various Schemes of Scholarship by Equal Opportunity Cell
A lecture was organized on 26 th February 2024 in the Audio-Visual Room. Ms. Shital
Bhandgar, Project Officer Samaj Kalyan Pune, discussed the about the various schemes under
scholarship. She urged the students to register and take the benefit of the schemes which are
available for them. She spoke about Barti Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training
Institute which is to provide an opportunity for SC youths from Maharashtra in various
sectors, to train the underprivileged, unemployed, unskilled, semi-skilled trainee from the SC
community and to make them skilled and employable.
Ms. Shital gave a brief explanation of the qualifying requirements for both the Saksham
Scholarship Programme for Specially-Abled Students and the hostel programmes,
emphasising the eligibility requirements for students to utilise the dormitory facilities. The
workshop was well received by 115 students, and their questions concerning the many plans
that fit under the various categories were answered.
