Hiroshima Day Programme - 8th August 2024
On the 8th of August 2024, the Department of Politics and Public Administration organised a audiovisual (AV) presentation and a discussion led by Ms. Veena Kenchi focusing on the urgent need for global peace and the responsibility of each individual to contribute towards a humane and compassionate world to observe Hiroshima Day, an occasion that marks the 79th anniversary of the tragic atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The event was designed to educate students about the historical significance of this day and to emphasize the importance of fostering a peaceful and humane world. The event served as a poignant reminder of the horrors of war and the vital importance of working towards a future free from the threat of nuclear weapons.
