On 27.7.2023 the CWE and IIC hosted a guest lecture on the topic "Incubation for
Entrepreneurs." The speaker for the event was Dr. Sabiha Fazalbhoy, a renowned expert in
the field of entrepreneurship and incubation. She is known for her contributions to the field of
entrepreneurship. The session was attended by students pursuing various disciplines and
CWE student members.
The session talked about Understanding Incubation: Dr. Sabiha started by explaining the
concept of business incubation. She described it as a process that involves providing support,
resources, and guidance to early-stage startups and entrepreneurs to help them grow and
develop into sustainable businesses. Importance of Incubation: The speaker emphasized the
significance of incubation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Incubators play a vital role in
reducing the failure rate of startups by providing them with crucial resources and mentorship.
Incubation Process: The speaker walked the students through the typical incubation process,
from the application stage to graduation. She shed light on the various stages of mentorship,
workshops, and support that startups receive during their incubation journey. The total
number of students who attended the session was 132 and along with 5 faculty members.
