REPORT ON KOLAM RANGOLI COMPETITION
Kalarambh, the cultural club of St. Mira's College for Girls in Pune, organised a Kolam
Rangoli Competition on Tuesday, February 20th. The event, held from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm,
provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents. Under the adept guidance
of Swati Sarwate, the event coordinator, and the management team, the competition ran
smoothly. The panel of judges, composed of Dr. Rama Venkat and Deepa Krishnamurthi,
brought a wealth of experience and expertise to evaluate the intricate designs.
Participation was enthusiastic, with students from various courses displaying their artistic
prowess through mesmerising Kolam Rangoli creations. Kolam Rangoli holds cultural and
social significance, representing not just an art form but a tradition passed down through
generations. The competition aimed to revive this tradition and promote it within our culture.
Fourteen students participated to show their skills in the kolam rangoli competition. The first
prize winner was Ms.Sneha Chaudhari, second prize winner - Adilaxmi and third prize winner
was - Ms. c. Madhuri.
