MIRA FEST 2023
The Department of Business Studies (SY. BCom A) under Dr Rama Venkat's guidance organized Mira Fest on 13 th and 14 th December 2023 to commemorate 90 years of Mira Movement in Education. There were five activities in all.
On 13 th December the following activities took place:
1)MIRA’S FUN MARKET
The event kicked off at 10:00 am with the inauguration by chief guest Parneet Kaur Nanda, Director of Oberoi Overseas Education, our key sponsor for the event. A diverse array of 14 stalls, offered items ranging from chat counters to customized gifts, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd.
2)FLASHMOB
The event was started at 11.00am with a speech about the “90 years of Mira movement”. A inspiring music and dance performance by the students of SYBCOM (A). With an overwhelming response from students across all the streams dancing to the tunes of the latest hits.
3)PLAY TO BEAT
“Play to Beat” event was organized on the 13th of December 2023, near the basketball court. The main objective of the event was to initiate team spirit, which was fulfilled when the members of play to beat came up with games that ensured upliftment of the cooperation, understanding and the spirit of the competing teams. Some of the games played were – tippy toes, tug of war, break the pyramid, etc.
4)CLEANLINESS DRIVE
A Cleanliness Drive of the campus was organized at 9:00am, where the students in groups cleaned the entire campus with an aim is to improve the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the college campus. To raise awareness about waste management and the importance of sustainable practices.
On 14 th December the following activity took place
1) PRE- OWNED CLOTHES COLLECTION DRIVE
A Pre-owned Clothes Collection Drive was organised on 14th December, 2023 between
10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Care was taken that the clothes collected was neatly packed in cartons,
to be handover to "Project Muskaan of Ishanya Foundation, a CSR arm of Deepak
Fertilizers Ltd." The Drive was a resounding success, bringing together in a collective effort
to contribute to those in need.
There were in all 122 students who actively participated in the Mira Fest.
