MARATHI BHASHA GOURAV DIN
The Department of Marathi organized the event "Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe" on the
occasion of Marathi Bhasha Gourav Day at Indulakshmi Sabhagruha on 28/02/2025. The
event showcased the splendor of art, literature, and culture.
The early morning atmosphere became memorable with the recitation of folk songs,
Tulsi Poojan, Rangoli, and the arrival of Vasudev. The program included a variety of
traditional performances such as the Mangalagauri games, Gondhal, Mahadambe’s Dhwale,
Mogara Phulale song, Vitthobachi Palkhi, Gavlan, Bharud, Shivrajyabhishek, Lavani, Natya
Geet, and immortal scenes from Marathi literature like "Krunchvadh" (Suluba) and "Nat
Samrat" (Savagat). There were also poetry recitations by Guru Thakur, and a dramatic
presentation emphasizing the importance of the Marathi language.
