G20 and Bharat: An Intercollege PPT Presentation Competition - Club MirRaNomics Activity
The Club MiraNomics of St. Mira’s College for Girls, Pune and The Friday School of
Economics of KES Shroff College, Mumbai jointly organized online Intercollege PPT
Presentation Competition on ‘G20 and Bharat’ on Wednesday, 13th December 2023. The
competition encouraged students to explore, read and think about current economic events and
inculcated presentation skills and technology use.
Dr. Shivaji Pawar, Vice-principal, PTVA's Mulund College of Commerce, Mumbai, and Dr.
Saili Belsare, Assistant Professor, Amity University, Pune Campus were the judges of the
competition. Coordinator of the event, Dr. Meenal Sumant welcomed all the judges, teachers and
the participants. Dr. Jaya Rajagopalan, Principal In-charge, St. Mira’s College gave opening
remarks. Dr. Shalini Iyer, Vice-principal and Head, Department of Business Economics
addressed the participants and wished them good luck. Dr. Manisha Pimpalkhare, Head,
Department of Economics introduced the activities of the club Miranomics and the rationale of
the competition.
There was an overwhelming response for the competition with 80 registrations from various
colleges and submission of 38 PPTs. 21 best PPTs were selected for the final presentation.
Participants made insightful presentations on various aspects of G20 and Bharat like cultural
orientation, technology and renewable energy aspects, trade-related discussions, etc. Mr. Rohan
Amberkar from KES Shroff College and Ms. Subhasmita Sahu and Srushti Chaudhari of St.
Mira’s College won Ist, IInd and IIIrd prizes respectively.
