IIC & CWE-Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and IP Management for Start-up (2022-23)
St. Mira’s College for Girls, Institution Innovation Council and Centre for Women Entrepreneurship organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and Intellectual Properties Management for Start-Up on 5 th August 2022 in the AV Room at 11.00 am. The session was conducted by Ms. Anju Khemchandani, Advocate- Corporate, Attorney- Trademarks and Alumna of St. Mira’s-1993. She spoke about the necessary IPR needed to safeguard the Start- up, methods available for students for their quick perusal.
The workshop was conducted keeping in mind the young and budding entrepreneurs and the students of Third Year B. Com. The workshop aimed at imparting the students with the knowledge of intellectual property rights and IP management for start-ups. Advocate Anju explained and discussed several IP rights such as trademarks, copyrights, patents and many more.
A discussion on trade secrets of well-known companies like Coca Cola followed. The workshop also provided the students a deeper insight into the various IP rights and also the procedure to get them registered. The workshop also encouraged the students to discuss and put forth their doubts which in turn led to an interactive workshop. The workshop was concluded by extending gratitude towards the speaker, the coordinators, the students and the Principal for giving the students an opportunity to be a part of this workshop.
