PG Seminar on “Post- Covid Development Paradigms: A Review of Challenges and Opportunities”
Department of Economics of St. Mira’s College for Girls hosted a PG Seminar on “Post- Covid Development Paradigms: A Review of Challenges and Opportunities” on Saturday, 18 th March 2023. The seminar also included a Research Paper Competition for students.
The seminar began with a session by Dr. Bhuma Sundar Raman on “ A Review of Challenges and Opportunities in Global Supply Chain Management” Dr. Bhuma spoke about the impact of Pandemic on the Global Supply chain and the opportunities for the emergent sector in the light of expansion of E commerce and logistics. The session was well received by the participants.
This was followed by the research paper presentations. Ten research papers were presented by students from various colleges and institutions such as TISS, SP college Pune, MIT college and St. Mira’s college. The themes explored by the student presenters ranged from sustainable tourism to healthcare sector challenges post covid; from inclusive growth to impact of covid on education of tribal children. The papers and presentations were ably judged by Dr. Bindu Nair and Dr. Meenal Sumant based on the relevance, research methodology, as well as presentation. Dr. Manisha Pimpalkhare coordinated the seminar.
