Poster Competition and Session on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013.

The Department of Accountancy and Internal Complaints Committee of the college jointly organized a session on POSH Act and a Poster Competition on women related Laws On 15th October 2022, for TYBCom and TYBA students of the college in the A.V. Room between 11 to 1 pm.
The events had two parts- a Poster Competition for the UG students prepared on women related Laws followed by a session on specific women related law- POSH ACT.
The guest speaker and the judge for the competition was Ms. Preeti Karmarkar, social activist in the field of women related issues; research scholar and member at Nari Samata Manch, Pune based NGO.
The posters were prepared on ‘Any 4 Women related Laws’ by students in a group of two; showcased in the AV room and confidently presented to the judge and the audience. The posters were duly evaluated by Ms. Preeti by asking questions to the students to evaluate the knowledge gathered by them.

The poster competition was followed by a talk by the guest, who is a very experienced person in the field of women related Laws.
In her session, Ms. Preeti gave insights of the working of the Local Complaints Committee as she is a member of the same in Pune District. She informed students on the origin and formation of Vishakha Guidelines and encouraged students to raise their voice whenever anything wrong happens to Women in the society. The session ended with questions duly answered by the guest. The Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vaishali Joshi, Presiding Officer, Internal Committee at the college. The session led to informative learning on IC and LCC . The Poster presentations was duly appreciated by the teaching and non-teaching staff who visited the Exhibition.
A total of 45 posters were presented in the competition and 142 students attended the session. Dr. Dimple Buche appreciated the TY BCOM students for a proper and systematic organization of the whole event.
