Library Literacy: A Comprehensive session to using St. Mira's College Library Resources (2022-23)
The College Library organized a training programme entitled “Library Literacy: A Comprehensive session to using St. Mira's College Library Resources for students of PGD- Dance Movement Therapy on 12 th March 2023 via the Zoom platform. This training aimed to equip students with searching skills to access required information from subscribed E- resources, namely- NLIST, Sage Pub. Journals, Academic Search Elite, Master File Elite and Literary Reference Center. E-books and E-journals available under NLIST were showcased. This included, JSTOR, E-brary, Springer e-books, EPW, etc. The databases were demonstrated from the library webpage on the institutional website, The trainer explained the search process with topics such as psychodynamic and theory and Dance movement therapy by using Boolean operators. Useful features like- saving the articles in folder, share, create an E-mail alert and selection of ‘Subject Thesaurus Term’, sharing PDF articles via email and permalink were shown. Explanation also included different citing styles, listening to HTML articles, translation and notes creation including downloading of EBSCO Mobile App and its features. A total of 13 students participated in the training. The resource person was Mr Gaurav Date from -EBSCO Inf. Services India Pvt. The programme was convened by Mrs Devinder Kaur- Librarian.
