Social Media and Digital Marketing Workshop for FY Students
On the 14th and 18th of August 2023, the Social Media Club orchestrated two comprehensive
sessions aimed at first-year students across diverse streams, with a focus on the subject of
Social Media and Digital Marketing. These informative sessions were thoughtfully conducted
by the Social Media Student Member body, represented by Tasneem Lokhandwala of
TYBBA and mentored by Ms Abhradita Chatterjee Nahvi with the primary objective of
imparting valuable insights and knowledge to the participating students. The agenda of the
sessions encompassed a wide array of topics, including an introduction to various social
media platforms, the basics of digital marketing, the development of social media strategies,
examination of case studies and success stories, and an exploration of emerging trends in the
digital marketing landscape.
The sessions were designed to be interactive, encouraging active participation from the
students, and incorporated practical examples and real-world case studies to elucidate key
concepts. A dedicated question and answer segment facilitated a collaborative learning
environment, allowing participants to engage directly with the subject matter. The sessions
were conducted by the Social Media Student Member body, comprising knowledgeable and
experienced students in the field, and have involved guest speakers or experts to provide
additional perspectives. Initial feedback indicates a positive response from participants, who
found the sessions to be informative and beneficial to their understanding of Social Media
and Digital Marketing.
