“Navigating the Digital Frontier: EBSCO Tools for Advancing DMT Education Resources”” (2023-24)
The College Library organized a training programme entitled “Navigating the Digital Frontier: EBSCO Tools for Advancing DMT Education Resources” on Friday, 19th January 2024 via the Zoom platform. This training aimed to equip students with searching skills to access required information from subscribed E-resources, namely- Academic Search Elite, Master File Elite and Literary Reference Centre and NLIST. The databases were demonstrated from the library webpage on the institutional website, where trainer explained the searching process with topics- Mirroring and Dance Movement Therapy by using Boolean operators and advance search. Useful features like- saving the articles in folder, share, create an E-mail alert, selection of ‘Subject Thesaurus Term’, sharing PDF articles via email and permalink were shown. Explanation also included different citing styles, listening to HTML articles, translation and notes creation including downloading of EBSCO Mobile App and its features. 2 nd part of the session included demonstration E-books and E-journals available under NLIST, which included demonstration of searching skills and features of platforms namely- E-brary, Springer e-books, Taylor & Francis e-books and World e-book Library. A total of 15 students participated in the training. Resource persons were Mr Gaurav Date from -EBSCO Inf. Ser. India Pvt. Ltd. and Mrs. Devinder Kaur- Librarian.
