An Exhibition on Vedas-The Department of BBA-BBA(CA) (2023-24)
On September 8th, St. Mira;s College;s library played host to an enthralling Vedic Exhibition organised by the First-Year students of BBA-BBA (CA) Department. Students painstakingly planned and set up numerous display tables, each of which highlighted a different aspect of the Vedas. The four Vedas written by the Sage Veda Vyasa, was honoured with a special display table. His contributions and significance were highlighted through this exhibition. In another fascinating exhibit, four major gods—Brahma, Vishnu, Mahadev and Maa Adishakti were displayed as a mark of respect to Hindu mythology. An informative model showcased the five elements of nature, emphasizing their relevance in Vedic philosophy. To highlight the spiritual and ritualistic elements of the Vedas, a group of four students dressed as saints performed a Yajna ritual, a sacred rite believed to call the gods. The event was made livelier by the inclusion of cultural performances between the displays. The mesmerising Ras Leela dance performed by students dressed in traditional garb enchanted the audience. The Vedas Exhibition at St. Mira;s College was a great success, enhancing knowledge of the ancient Indian texts and fostering cultural diversity. This event commemorated the rich spiritual legacy of India in addition to showcasing the profound Vedic teachings. The planners, participants, and attendees deserve praise for making this event special. 158 students participated and 539 attendees attended the exhibition.
