Department of Commerce CWE - Factory Visit to Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale
A factory visit to Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale at Bhor, Pune was organized on 6 th February 2023 for the students of B.Com & BBA. A total of 75 students -33 students from BCom and 42 students from BBA accompanied by two faculty members Dr.Rama Venkat and Ms.Abhradita Nahvi visited the factory to understand the nuances of factory operations. They were guided to the factory- view gallery room where they were welcomed by the quality supervisor Mr. Sanap, who showed them a detailed video of Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale since its inception, covering the processes, quality control, product details, customer reviews etc.
At present the two brothers: Kedar Chitale & Indraneel Chitale are heading the company and executing their roles and responsibilities with lot of innovation, meeting market needs and customer demand. Mr.Sanap explained in detail the famous bakarwadis manufacturing process. Students could see from the gallery all the steps in the process. Each batch is tasted to ensure the quality remains the same. They have various machines in the factory like: Raw material mixture, Sugar syrup machine, Maida mixer, Besan mixer, Green chili crusher, X-Ray Machine, Weighing Machine, Packing & sealing machine all customised to the requirements of the products. Later, the students were made to taste the freshly made hot crispy bakarwadis which were very tasty. Students enjoyed the visit and got insightful information on Chitale Bandhu.
