Centre for Women Entrepreneurship: Online Workshop on ‘Angel Investment Opportunities for Early Age Start-ups’
On 19th August2022,the Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE), St. Mira's College organised an onlineworkshop on'Angel Investment Opportunities for Early Age Start-ups' on Google Meet platform, where 48 students and 6 faculty memberswere activeparticipants.
The resource person, Ms.Divya Sampath,a mentor,investor and digital-skill activist, providedpractical inputsby introducingAngel Investors, whothey are, what job they usually do and positions held by them with examples and reference to the market.Start-up financing cycle was very well illustrated with various investment opportunities available, how Angel Investors offer their experience,expertise and mentoring, look at the life cycles of ventures and invest in a calculative way was the main focus along with its pros and cons.The workshop helped participantsunderstand the concept of Angel Investing, how to attract angels with an attractive proposal and effectively market their venture.
