Field Visit to Suhana Masale Factory and Warehouse at Yavat - The Department of Accountancy (2022-23)
The Department of Accountancy organized a Field Visit for TY BCOM and SY BCOM Cost and Works Accountancy Students to Suhana Masale Factory and Warehouse at Yavat on 28 th January 2023 as a co-curricular activity. The students were introduced to the philosophy of Pravin Masale and the manufacturing of spices and provided with appropriate gear to start the tour of the manufacturing facility. The batches were guided through the Quality control department; processing and manufacturing department followed by the packing department. Students also got to learn about types of products; inventory management and use of technology for just in time batch stamping during packaging. The students got an opportunity to interact with the management who shared details about number of workers, method of attendance for wage calculation, method of remuneration and fringe benefits provided to workers. The company uses SAP ERP and has a State of the Art Warehouse which was also the part of the visit. The visit ended with feedback from the organizers as well as students. A total of 78 students attended the session.
