Orientation of SYBBA students on Banking & Finance skill-building
An Orientation of SYBBA students on Banking & Finance skill-building activity was held on 7th Sept 2022. The session was conducted by TYBBA Finance students,Ms. Karishma S. Chhabada and Ms. Bhavisha Karnani.Ms. Karnani began the session by enlightening the students on the basics of Banking and Finance report writing including information regarding choosing the correct topic, finding objectives of the study, nature,and significance of the report, and enumerated the key inter-firm and intrafirm comparisontools &techniques necessary for analysing the financial health of a bank, those being: Comparative statements, Ratio analysis, Trend analysis, etc. Sheadroitly explained the Do’s and Don’ts’ of the report by sharing the experience of her interview with the Bank manager during the covid-19 outbreak and motivated the students to choose it as a topic for their study.
Further, Ms. Karishma S. Chhabada explained the significance of the report and provided insights on “how to start making a Banking and finance exposure project”. Ms. Karishma also explained each step that needed to be taken while doing the analysis.Lastly, key facets of technical analysis and the importance of learning were explained as, “How to read and interpret charts used in the technical analysis of the bank”.The session was attended by 30 students. It was truly an insightful session and the participants were grateful to receive immense learning from the session.
