The Department of BBA-BBA(CA)-Guest Lecture on Game Theory & Leonardo Da Vinci and Economics (2022-23)
The BBA-BBA(CA) Department, St. Mira’s College for Girls in collaboration with the prestigious Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics organized a Guest Lecture by Mr. Abhinay Muthoo, on 20 th January 2023 in the Auditorium at 8.30 in the morning. Mr. Abhinay Muthoo is a Fellow of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR), a visiting professor of Economics at the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics (MDAE) and a member of the Cross Parliamentary Party Youth Violence Commission. Mr. Muthoo is an economist, with broad interests and was educated at the London School of Economics and the University of Cambridge. He has 37 years of teaching and research experience, across several universities including Cambridge, the LSE, Harvard, Bristol, Warwick, and Essex. Mr. Muthoo has twenty years of leadership and management experience. He has been a professor, and the Head of the Departments of Economics at the Universities of Warwick and Essex, and he was the Dean of Warwick in London for four years. He has published extensively in top economics journals, and is one of the world’s authorities on the subject of negotiations. His interests extend to several areas of Public Policy, and he founded a Policy Lab in 2013.
The interactive session with an extensively lively young audience focussed on world forum, the problems ailing the economies, the power of Artificial Intelligence and human skill. He captivated the students with his wit and sense of humour. He wove the two disciplines of Game Theory and Economics with the maestro Leonardo da Vinci championing his strength of creativity. Mr. Muthoo answered all the queries of the students and faculty members with precision. We look forward to more sessions with him.
