Educational Field Visit to the Employees Provident Fund Office on 27th Sep 2022
The BBA department organized aneducational visit to the Provident Fund Office on 27th Sep 2022. This was specially organized for the Human Resource Specialisation students to help them gain a practical knowledge on the subject of Legal Aspects in Human Resource Management. The SYBBA students (HR specialisation+2 finance students reported at 2:00 pm at the Venue. They were assembled in a hall where MsGauri Mali (Enforcement Officer) warmly welcomed all and gave a brief introduction about herself, Provident fundand how EPFO works.
They explained howEPFO’s objectives and functions are focused on providing social security for employees. Refreshments were served. After giving a brief about the different departments, the students were taken to the enquiry section which is the interface of the organisation/the first step of the process.The second department was the Compliance section where all complaints and issues are processed under the PF Act. The next department the students were taken to was the accounts followed by pension section. In each department, the students were given a detailed description about the process, the working, formulae, acts and policies by the concerned authorities.

After the visit of the various departments the students assembled back in the hall where they were given a recap of the whole process. The students asked questions and cleared doubts. The Regional PF commissioner and other Dignitaries also joined the students and shared their expert knowledge in the field. The students had an informative and interesting hands-onexperience.They were also informed about various initiatives and the international tie-ups with 18 new countries. They gaineda lot ofknowledge than what was available online. One of the students concluded the visit by giving a vote of thanks for the hospitality andaninformative session.
