Peer Buddy Session on “Investment Avenues in Financial Markets”
The Department of Business Economics and Banking of the College organized a Peer Buddy Session for the final year commerce students specializing in Banking and Finance, on the topic “Investment Avenues in Financial Markets” on 14 th October 2022, from 03:00pm to 05:00pm. This session was ably guided by CFPcm Himanshu Mayne, a CEO of Infinite Financial Academy and co-founder of Infinite Financial Planners, coordinated by CFP Radhika Patel and conducted by two CFP aspirants (students) – Mr. Satish Kokane and Dhwani Chhadva. A total of 55 students attended this session.
The session commenced with the rationale of the event, followed by the introduction of the College and the speakers. It covered various types of investment avenues and their pros and cons with suitable examples. The importance of savings, investments, financial goals and asset classes to be selected based on one’s age, need, dependents, inflation, etc. were brought to the fore. The objective of the session was to give an exposure to the students relating to different asset classes through peer interaction. The session also aimed at encouraging them to create awareness among their family members, friends and social networks about the significance of following a need-based approach while selecting the types of investment classes. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the speakers.
