Admission Process Flowchart for Students (2024-2025)
Go to the classroom No.5 (Ground Floor) and meet the Teachers for subject counseling
Fill out the Subject Choice Form given by the Teacher
Get the Subject Choice Form checked and signed by the teacher.
Fill Online Vriddhi Admission Form and take the print of the complete form (Select subjects as per your subject choice from)
Attach the signed Subject Choice Form and other supporting documents to the printed Vriddhi Admission Form
Verify the Vriddhi Admission Form and the supporting documents with the Office Staff
The office staff will cross-check the Subject Choice Form and the Vriddhi Admission Form and the supporting documents
If there are any discrepancies or changes in the Vriddhi Form the student can go to the IT room to make the necessary subject changes.
Hard copy of the Vriddhi Admission form to be signed by Vice Principal Degree College/Registrar and then to be submitted to the concerned Office Staff on the same day
The office staff will verify all documents and give online approval.
You will receive a payment link from the office staff.
Use the payment link to pay the admission fees online, you will get the fee receipt of ATOM Technologies
Within one week, you will receive the Admission Fee Receipt of St. Mira’s College with your class and roll no mentioned on it.

1. Introduction
St. Mira’s College for Girls, was founded in 1962 by the visionary philosopher-saint SadhuT.L.Vaswani. It is the first Arts / Commerce College in Maharashtra to take the fast track toacademic autonomy and to go on to become one of the few colleges in the country to behonoured with the CPE Status twice. The motto of the college– ‘Kindle the Light’, indicates ourcommitment to impart to students the spirit of simplicity and service, purity and prayer. TheMission Statement of the college– To empower and equip women students through anintegrated education of the Head, Hand and Heart, to successfully meet the challenges ofcompetitive work life and inculcate in them the Art of True Living. The Mira model of educationoffers a fundamental philosophy as well as a time-tested, practice-based model of educationfor character building.
Our exclusive identity lies in the inclusive education that we offer to all kinds of womenstudents – those with special needs, the differently abled, first-generation learners as well asstudents coming to us from different parts of the country and abroad. In our 60 years ofacademic service, we have steadily grown from a small college to a robust institution which hasfound a significant place in the academic map of the country.
Following the mandate NEP 2020 from UGC, and adhering to the directives from theMaharashtra State – Department of Higher and Technical Education, the college has prepareda comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate curricular structure. This new structureadheres to the key values of Innovation, Integration, and Inclusion.
Curriculum framework of NEP 2020:
Major Subject: Under the Department Specific Core subject framework, the student selectsone Major/Core subject. Disciplinary Major courses are offered to assure in-depth study ofparticular subjects
Minor Subject: In order to gain additional domain knowledge in one more subject, thestudent has to select one Minor subject.
Open Elective (OE): A comprehensive basket of open elective courses is offered to ensuremulti-disciplinary exposure
Ability Enhancement Course (AEC): Mandatory Courses on content related to Linguisticsand Communication Skills in English and Hindi/Marathi
Vocational Skill Course (VSC): A basket of vocational skill courses is designed to impartvocational and soft skills and hands-on training. These courses aim to enhance theemployability of students.
Skill Enhancement Course (SEC): Courses aimed at imparting practical skills, and softskills to ensure overall personality development of students
On-Job Training (OJT)/Internship/Field Project (FP)/Community EngagementProgramme (CEP) Research Project (RP): Application of knowledge/concepts in solvingor analyzing a real-life problem. This component is related to the Major subject.
Co-curricular Course (CC): For the holistic development of students through co-curricularcourses, specific courses related to Yoga, Sports and physical training are offered.
Value Education Course (VEC): Courses designed to develop values and a sense of ethics. Thecourses combine modern values and ethical view derived from Indian tradition.
Indian Knowledge System (IKS): IKS courses aim to give students orientation in India’s rich heritage.
The tables below contain the planned quantum of courses that will be offeredunder the Arts, Commerce (grant-in-aid) and Science (non-grant) programsstarting from June 2023. The total credits that a student will collect in eachsemester is 22. A student is freeto exit at the end of each academic year as depicted in the table below.
On successful completion of three years and obtaining 132 credits, a student canopt for an exit with a bachelor’s degree in their domain, e.g., B.Sc./B.A./B.Com/BBA/CA.
On successful completion of the UG fourth year (PG I) and obtaining 176 credits,a student will get a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors.
If a student opts for an Honors degree by Research, the eligibility criteria will beat the discretion of the College.

After completion of the OJT/FP, the students will be able to-

2. Develop inter-personal skills such as team-building and communication skills
3. Develop enhanced hands on, employable skills.
Total Credits 4 (120 hrs)
Total Marks 100 (60 marks for report and 40 marks for viva)
An internal Mentor will supervise and evaluate the project
Viva will be conducted by internal faculty other than the Mentor.
After completion of the OJT, the organization will issue a certificate clearly indicating and validating completion of 120 hours.

On The Job Training (OJT)/ Field Project (FP) Framework
After completion of the OJT/FP, the students will be able to-
1. Demonstrate enhanced usage of digital technology.
2. Develop inter-personal skills such as team-building and communication skills
3. Develop enhanced hands on, employable skills.

B.Sc(CS): Students who pass their first year from our College will be automatically eligible for S.Y.B.Com /S.Y.B.A./ S.Y.B.B.A./S.Y.B.B.A.(CA) / S.Y. B.Sc(CS).Students who desire to join the College at the S.Y. level (i.e., those who have studied in colleges affiliated to Pune or any other university) would necessarily have to seek Equivalence for the subjects offered by their earlier college for the first year level of the said Program. - T.Y.B.Com /T.Y.B.A./ T.Y.B.B.A./T.Y.B.B.A.(CA) / S.Y. Students from outside St. Mira’s College who have passed their Second Year cannot seek admission for the Third Year at St. Mira’s College. A7. Yes, Admission orientation /counselling is available for FY Admissions.
(i) You are cordially invited to attend an Admission Orientation Meet (B.A, B.Com, BSc(CS) for the in-house Class 12 students of St. Mira’s Junior College on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 1:30pm in the Indulakshmi Auditorium of the College. Students from other Boards/Junior colleges are also welcome.
(ii) A separate counselling for BBA and BBA(CA) will be intimated shortly. Note: Only those students who have registered for the CET exam and passed the same will be eligible for BBA, BBA(CA) admissions w.e.f. 2024-25.
(iii) For counselling in your preferred Programme choice, you are urged to join and engage with our teaching and admin staff on the FY class-wise whatsapp groups:
Q8. When is the FY admission process starting?
A8 The FY admission process for in-house Class 12 students shall start from Friday, June 7, 2024.
Q9. Is the admission process online/offline?
Final Admission form filling is in online mode; Fee payment is in online mode. BUT do not fill the admission form available on https://stmira.vriddhionline.com/ AS YET TILL you get the approval of the concerned admin staff. Note: Under NEP, 2020, to avoid any error in form filling, we request you to come to college and get the subject preference approval from the concerned Arts/Commerce/Science Faculty in College personally and then seek approval from the concerned admin staff for the final admission form filling.
Q10. What is the last date for seeking FY admissions?
A10. The in-house Class 12 students of St Mira’s Junior College who wish to seek admission for FY BA/BCom, BSc, are urged to seek admission here as soon as possible within 15 days of receipt of your Class 12 marksheet. Thereafter, we shall open up the seats to meritorious students from other Class XII boards and we may not be able to offer you the subjects of your choice at a later date.
Note: The students from other Junior Colleges/Class 12 Boards are requested to fill the Merit Form available on https://stmira.vriddhionline.com/ and view the College website for admission updates.
Q11. What are the supporting documents required for FY admissions?
A bulk email has been shared with in-house Class 12 students with list of supporting documents. We are again sharing the same with you here.
Documents required to be attached with the admission form printout:
1. Class X (10th), XI (11th), XII (12th) marksheet Xerox
2. Class 10th Leaving Certificate Xerox
3. Class 12th Original LC (For Maharashtra Board students) (not required for In-House students)
4. Class 12th Original TC and Migration (Other than Maharashtra Board students)
5. Eligibility form (available in admission form print out)
6. Domicile certificate of the student if her birth place is other than Maharashtra State but she is domicile of Maharashtra.
7. If student’s parent is from Defense Force background, then Parent’s Transfer Order to Pune is required.
8. Anti Ragging Affidavit email’s print. Fill the form from the website given below :https://antiragging.in/affidavit_registration_disclaimer.html
9. Admission gets confirmed only after fees payment is done and fee receipt is generated with Roll no, Class and Division.
10. Caste ,Domicile and Income certificate (for Reserved Category students)

Q12. What is the fee structure for FY BA, B.Com, BBA, BBA(CA), BSc(CS)?
The fees for the relevant program opted for by the student are to be paid immediately along with the admission form on the same day. The fee payment will be as per the ONLINE procedure which will be notified on College Website. The admission is considered to be finalized only after the payment of fees. The fee details will be available on College website
Q13. Is fee instalment facility available for seeking FY admission ?
A13. To complete the FY admission process, full fee payment is required, so that the Office can issue the St Mira’s College Fee Receipt. This fee receipt also includes the class, division and roll number of the fresh student which is required to get entry into the class room for lectures.
Note: In cases where student/parent is unable to pay the full fee, an application for student aid can be made, subject to provision of an Income Certificate of parent to the concerned admin staff. The application has to be approved by the Student Welfare Committee. For details, please contact the concerned admin staff.
Q14. Is a Reserved Category (Caste Certificate) in the name of the parent sufficient to secure fee concessions?
A14. No, the Reserved Category (Caste Certificate) cannot be in the name of the parent/guardian of the student. The same has to be in the name of the student and issued by the Govt of Maharashtra only, in order to avail of scholarships/freeships at the College.
Q15.Does the College offer Scholarships/Freeships for Higher Education?
A15. Yes, the College helps students avail of Government &Free-ships. It is mandatory for all BC category students to apply for Scholarship/Free-ship benefits. Those eligible for the Scholarship/Free-ship but not applying for the same, will not qualify for the benefit irrespective of their reservation category (caste status).
